What You’ll Be Doing
As an essential member of CIBC Private Wealth, the Senior Trust & Estate Consultant (STEC) works in team environment to provide estate and trust solutions to CIBC clients. You will be responsible for business development and the delivery of estate and trust services in your assigned region, working with internal partners and external centres of influence to service and pro-actively grow our estate and trust business, while providing clients with holistic estate planning.

The pay range salary for this role is $92,490.00 -$120,00.00
How You’ll Succeed
- Business Development- Create and implement a regional business development plan to promote and source new business, while raising awareness of CIBC Trust products and Private Wealth services. Assess new business opportunities, identify potential risks, and provide mitigation strategies where required. Pro-actively refer clients and beneficiaries to CIBC partners to provide wealth services and solutions.
- Relationship Building- Pro-actively build partnerships with CIBC Private Wealth, Wood Gundy and Imperial Service advisors, local centres of influence, lawyers and accountants to deliver estate planning services and solutions to HNW clients with in your assigned
- Provide Solutions- Deliver trust & estate services within your assigned region. Provide trust education sessions to internal partners and participate in client seminars. Keep abreast of trust & estate legislative changes, jurisprudence, and shifting industry trends in order to effectively provide the best solutions to our clients.
Who You Are
- You have industry experience. You have proven experience in sales and business development and knowledge of the administration of estates, trust and powers of attorney/guardianship. You also have knowledge of legislation and regulations pertaining to the administration of estates and trusts, gained from 5+ years of experience in the estate and trust or financial services industry.
- You’re a certified professional. You have a post-secondary degree and hold a relevant professional accreditations such as the Member, Trust Institute (MTI), and/or Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP). Allied Professional qualification (LL.B., C.A., CGA, CFP, PFPC,) is an asset.
- You're passionate about people. You find meaning in relationships and surround yourself with a diverse network of partners. You build trust through respect and authenticity. You have well-developed sales, interpersonal, communication presentation and relationship management skills sufficient to build strong relationships with clients and to identify partnership opportunities. You have demonstrated success to build and maintain high value client relationships.
