Position SummaryChromalloy is seeking an experienced Engineer to support our global energy-sector customers. This role is central to Chromalloy's Continued Operational Safety (COS) and customer technical support initiative and requires a skilled engineering professional capable of leading field investigations, analyzing component conditions, and delivering actionable technical findings to stakeholders at all levels of the organization. The ideal candidate will bring extensive knowledge in gas turbine design and manufacturing, as well as hands‑on experience working for an owner/operator of gas turbines. You will collaborate across engineering, quality, operations, supply chain, and commercial teams to diagnose problems, drive corrective actions, and ensure customer satisfaction. Key ResponsibilitiesField & Operational Support Serve as the primary technical contact for customers after hardware or engine delivery, providing expert guidance and timely resolution of operational issues.Lead customer issue investigations by coordinating with cross‑functional internal teams, including engineering, quality, manufacturing, and field service.Support root‑cause analysis (RCA) and failure investigations, ensuring accurate diagnosis and transparent communication with customers.Provide on‑site or remote customer support as needed, occasionally traveling to customer facilities for inspections, technical assessments, or relationship management. COS (Continued Operational Safety) Initiative Support Chromalloy's COS initiative to ensure ongoing safety and operational integrity of Chromalloy-manufactured parts.Monitor the in‑service performance of Chromalloy parts, repairs, coatings, and engineered solutions; proactively identify opportunities for reliability or durability enhancements. Data Analysis & Reporting Analyze engineering data and develop technical reports summarizing engine condition, component condition assessments and trend analysis.Create and deliver technical presentations and reports as required for internal and external audiences.Communicate findings, observations, and recommendations to the key stakeholders.Provide engineering recommendations based on data analysis and field observations. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 5+ years of relative experience working with industrial gas turbine engines Basic statistical analysis and data interpretationStrong understanding of gas turbine engines and associated componentsBasic mechanical and repair knowledge relevant to turbine engine systemsEffective communication at all levels of an organization – written and verbalFlexibility for domestic and/or international travel as required (up to 50% in the first six months) Must have an active passport or ability to acquire one in a timely manner Preferred Qualifications Hands-on experience with the GE LM2500 and/or LM6000 aeroderivative gas turbine enginesExperience in MRO, or field service engineering environmentUnderstanding of failure analysis or root cause investigation methodologies Location: US remote with up to 50% travel; or onsite (with travel) in San Diego or Palm Beach Gardens.
