Summary
The Coordinator is responsible for conducting conditional payment claim investigations and providing negotiation services to address Medicare Secondary Payer compliance. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for effectively corresponding with government contractors, teammates, and customers to ensure the completion of requested services. The ability to collaborate with all teams to meet internal and client-specific service expectations is crucial. Additionally, this role requires a willingness to cross-train with teammates in similar roles to provide backup support when needed.
Essential Duties and Functions
- Reviews initial file handling instructions and assists with managing open files.
- Pursues medical records and releases from customers.
- Communicates with Medicare entities to obtain lien status and provide customers with updates.
- Obtains authorization from customers for additional services.
- Receives and responds to telephone calls and emails addressing customers' questions and concerns.
- Reviews and accurately enters data into the case management system.
- Collaborates with all teams to meet customer needs and internal service standards.
- Works diligently to earn and maintain customer trust.
- Escalates customer concerns to the Team Leader for review and resolution.
- Reviews assigned exception reports.
- Prepares a daily Work Condition Report.
- Fosters team cohesion by consistently demonstrating diplomatic, professional, and effective written and verbal communication.
- Strictly adhere to company confidentiality policies and procedures, safeguarding sensitive information at all times.
- Any other duties as may be assigned.
Qualifications/ Requirements

Required Qualifications:
- Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent
- Basic working knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel, and PDF software
- Exceptional telephone etiquette
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college
- 1-3 Years of experience in Workers’ Compensation
- Experience in managing a case load
Pay Range
18 - 20 HourlyThe pay range provided above is made in good faith and based on our lowest and highest annual salary or hourly rate paid for the role and takes into account years of experience required, geography, and/or budget for the role.
