Position Overview
We are seeking a Manager, Accounting & Advisory Services who will be working with our Managed Solutions & Technology group, and who will lead client engagements focused on accounting technology solutions, financial systems optimization, and process transformation initiatives. In this role, you will oversee the delivery of managed accounting and technology services while working closely with clients to modernize financial operations and implement scalable technology-driven solutions.
The Accounting Manager will serve as a key leader within engagement teams, managing project timelines, supervising staff, and ensuring the successful delivery of technology-enabled accounting services. This individual will collaborate with internal leadership and clients to identify opportunities for operational improvements, system enhancements, and strategic technology implementations that drive business efficiency and financial transparency.
Industry Experience
The Accounting Manager will operate in a dynamic consulting environment that combines accounting expertise with advanced financial technologies. This role requires experience in managing accounting system implementations, supporting financial process transformations, and delivering technology-enabled solutions to improve reporting accuracy and operational performance.
Experience working with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, financial reporting platforms, and accounting automation tools is critical in helping clients streamline workflows and adopt modern financial technologies.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and manage client engagements related to accounting technology implementation, financial system optimization, and managed accounting solutions.
• Oversee the configuration, deployment, and support of accounting systems and ERP platforms for client organizations.
• Evaluate client financial processes and identify opportunities for automation, system integration, and operational improvement.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, ensuring clear communication, timely delivery of services, and high-quality outcomes.
• Manage engagement timelines, budgets, and project deliverables while ensuring alignment with client expectations.
• Supervise and mentor associates and senior associates, providing guidance, feedback, and professional development support.
• Review team deliverables, including system documentation, workflow designs, and financial reporting outputs, to ensure accuracy and quality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement integrated technology solutions that support client business objectives.
• Assist in the development of data dashboards, financial analytics tools, and reporting frameworks that enhance decision-making capabilities.
• Stay informed on emerging technologies, accounting software platforms, and industry trends to continuously improve service offerings.
• Support practice development initiatives by identifying new service opportunities and contributing to client proposals and business development activities.
Skills and Qualifications
• Strong leadership and project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple client engagements simultaneously.
• Advanced understanding of accounting processes, financial reporting systems, and operational workflows.
• Experience implementing or managing ERP systems or accounting platforms such as NetSuite, Sage, QuickBooks, or similar solutions.
• Ability to analyze complex business processes and recommend effective technology-enabled improvements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong client relationships.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced consulting environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
Education and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Information Systems, Finance, Business Analytics, or a related field is required.
• Five (5) to seven (7)+ years of relevant professional experience in accounting technology consulting, financial systems implementation, managed accounting services, or related areas.
• Experience managing teams or leading client engagements in a consulting or professional services environment.
• Professional certifications such as CPA, CMA, PMP, or relevant technology certifications are preferred.
