JOB DESCRIPTION
The Tax Administrative Assistant provides essential administrative support to the Tax Department, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and the timely completion of client deliverables. This role involves general clerical, organizational, and project-based tasks in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities:
Assemble and organize tax returns for delivery and filing.
Provide direct support to the Tax Department Administrator and assist with departmental projects as needed.
Support tax professionals by performing general administrative duties, including scanning, preparing letters, forms, and reports.
Maintain and replenish tax assembly and scanning supplies for workstations.
Coordinate and order general office supplies as needed.
Provide backup administrative and phone coverage support for the Miami office and reception area.
Collaborate with other departments to assist with ad hoc requests and special projects.
Maintain confidentiality and ensure all work meets firm quality standards.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of administrative experience, preferably in a professional services or CPA firm environment.
Experience processing tax returns required.
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; familiarity with PowerPoint is a plus.
Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Self-motivated, adaptable, and a team player with a professional demeanor.
Ability to work extended hours during peak tax season.
