Berkowitz Pollack and Brant’s Managed Cyber Solutions (MCS) team is looking for an IT Support Specialist. This is an entry role in the MCS group which provides Outsourced IT (MSP) and Cybersecurity services to our clients. This role will get exposure to many technologies and provide a fast-paced opportunity to gain knowledge. An ideal candidate has a strong technical aptitude, at least 2 years of technology support or system administration experience, and is comfortable communicating with clients. The pace and demands in this environment are usually much greater than an "in-house IT" position. This person should be prompt and/or know the importance of communicating ETAs to clients. Most importantly, this person should be eager to learn and grow.
Position Responsibilities:
Answer support calls

Provide both remote and onsite client support
While this is a hybrid position and there is flexibility for remote workdays, onsite office days and regular client visits is a requirement for this role
Support a full range of technologies from endpoint, mobile, to server solutions.
User onboarding / offboarding
Document client networks
Assist other Team members on projects (Systems, Security, & Compliance)
Endpoint patch and vulnerability management
Backup management
Office 365 administration (Exchange, Intune, SharePoint)
Security incident cleanup and remediation assistance
Takes ownership of tasks and follows through to ensure complete resolution
Takes a personal interest in, and responsibility for, quality of work they perform or are associated with
Ability to pay close attention to detail while performing technically detailed tasks
Ability and willingness to recognize when it is necessary to ask for technical expertise from others on the team
Ability to provide accurate time estimates for how long a task will take
Ability to quickly learn new technologies using self-study materials and intuition
Ability to articulate technical information clearly and simply to non-technical people
Enjoys helping people to the extent that no problem is considered mundane, no matter how simple the solution
Is self-motivated and can be self-directed when necessary
Enjoys sharing information, supporting others, and working on a team to achieve team goals
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Experience required with Windows and Mac desktop operating systems
Experience with Office 365 and/or Google Workspace
Understanding of TCP/IP and troubleshooting Internet connectivity
Experience with routers and firewalls
Understanding of Terminal Services and/or Citrix
Understanding of relationship between switches, hubs, patch panels and connecting nodes to a network
Understanding of DNS services
Working Knowledge of Firewall Technologies such as: Meraki, SonicWALL, Sophos, Fortinet or similar.
Working Knowledge of Wireless Technologies
Credentials and Experience:
Related technical experience of two to four years

Eager to learn and be a sponge
“Can do” attitude vs. “not in my job description”
Certifications such as MCITP, MCP, CCNA/CCDA/CCNP, A+, Project+, Network+, Security+ are a plus.
PowerShell scripting or similar experience is a plus.
Experience working for an MSP is a major plus.
