As a Senior Associate of International Tax Services, you will work closely with Managers and Directors to provide comprehensive tax solutions to our clients. You will play a key role in international tax compliance and planning, including cross-border structuring, inbound/outbound taxation, foreign tax credit analysis, global reporting requirements, and business tax strategies.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review complex federal and state tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and corporations with international operations.

  • Assist with U.S. international tax compliance, including Forms 5471, 5472, 8865, 8858, 1116/1118, and 8992 (GILTI).

  • Conduct research on international tax issues, including U.S. tax treaties, Subpart F, GILTI, FDII, BEPS, and foreign tax credit planning.

  • Support global tax planning initiatives, such as cross-border structuring, entity classification, repatriation strategies, and transfer pricing considerations.

  • Reconcile and review tax expense and liability accounts, including international provisions under ASC 740.

  • Maintain strong client relationships by delivering practical solutions to complex international tax matters.

  • Mentor and train junior staff members on international tax compliance and technical topics.

  • Stay updated on changes in international tax law and regulations, including OECD initiatives and U.S. legislative updates.

  • Participate in professional development sessions to enhance international tax technical skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:

  • Three or more years of public accounting experience in a tax department, with direct international tax compliance and planning exposure.

  • Experience with a large public accounting firm preferred.

  • CPA designation required; a Master of Taxation, JD, or LL.M. in Taxation strongly preferred.

  • Strong working knowledge of U.S. international tax rules, including Subpart F, GILTI, FDII, BEPS, and foreign tax credits.

  • Experience preparing and reviewing international tax compliance forms (5471, 5472, 8858, 8865, 8992, etc.).

  • Familiarity with ASC 740 and tax provision calculations, including international components.

  • Strong analytical, technical, and tax accounting skills.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients and supervise junior staff.

  • Proficiency in US GAAP and tax compliance software; exposure to international tax compliance platforms a plus.
