Description
Accurately codes the classification of oncology diseases, diagnosis, procedures, and treatments using cancer data management science coding systems for all Baptist Health entities. Assures compliance of coding rules and regulations according to regulatory agencies Florida Cancer Data System (FCDS) and National Cancer Data Base (NCDB). Works as a team member to meet departmental goals and state and national reporting goals. Abstracts prescribed data elements from the medical records. Estimated pay range for this position is $21.24 - $27.61 / hour depending on experience. Qualifications
Degrees: - High School,Cert,GED,Trn,Exper.
- Knowledge of Medical Terminology and Anatomy and Physiology required.
- Competency in computer applications.
- Topography and morphology coding experience preferred.
- Knowledge of rules and regulations applicable to cancer data management science preferred.
