Description
Administers Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy to patients as prescribed by the Hyperbaric Physician. In addition, serves as the Safety Director and is responsible for all hyperbaric and ancillary equipment including maintenance, repairs, modifications and testing of equipment. Maintains all facility safety related standard as required by various licensing and regulatory agencies including NFPA 99, Hyperbaric Facilities and UHMS guidelines. Monday through Friday, no call requirements.
Estimated pay range for this position is $26.13 - $33.97 / hour depending on experience.
Qualifications
Degrees:
- High School,Cert,GED,Trn,Exper.
Licenses & Certifications:
- Basic Life Support.
- NBDHMT Certified Hyperbaric Technologist.
Additional Qualifications:
- Graduate of an approved hyperbaric medicine program and active Certified Hyperbaric Technician (CHT).
- A minimum of two years proven experience in direct patient care.
- Twenty-four continuing education credits (hours) are required during each recertification 2-year period.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Completion of training related to Transcutaneous Oxygen Measurements and related competencies.
- Completion of a UHMS or NBDHMT approved hyperbaric safety course.
