Description
The Chief Radiation Therapist (CRTT) is a licensed professional that is responsible for the overall supervision of the department‘s Radiation Therapists and students from affiliated educational programs. The CRTT takes direction from radiation oncology departmental leadership to ensure high clinical standards and continuity of care. The CRTT is responsible for staff development, assists with program development, and performs varied administrative tasks as assigned by radiation oncology departmental leadership. The CRTT is competent in technique and theory, with a broadened knowledge base in the management of Radiation Oncology patients. The CRTT acts as a senior resource and is available to coordinate departmental activities under emergent or unusual situations, ensures optimal utilization of resources, service delivery, and compliance with external review agency requirements. The CRTT demonstrates fiscal responsibility in the allocation of available resources to promote efficient, effective, safe, and compassionate care. The CRTT supports BHSF Service Excellence philosophy and collaborates with leadership to support the Mission and Vision of the entity and department. Estimated salary range for this position is $105647.55 - $137341.82 / year depending on experience. Qualifications
Degrees:
- Bachelors.
Licenses & Certifications:
- ARRT Registered Technologist - Radiation Therapy.
- Basic Life Support.
- Certified Radiologic Technologist.
Additional Qualifications:
- Required: Active licensure with credentialing for Radiation Therapy (R.T.(T)) through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and the State of Florida Department of Health.
- In addition, Bachelors degree in Health Care, Management, Radiation Therapy, Leadership, or Business is required.
- Minimum five consecutive years of full-time radiation oncology work experience, with direct supervisory clinical experience for two of the five years.
- Must demonstrate current knowledge of law and regulations related to Radiation Oncology with understanding of organizational behavior and management theory.
- Possess a basic understanding of Radiation Oncology technical and theoretical components.
