Description
Bachelor degree in Culinary Arts required. Masters degree preferred. Chefs hired without a degree have 5 years to complete a Bachelors degree. Knowledge of dietetics required. Previous supervision of 12 or more staff members and ability to motivate and maintain an engaged team. At least three years of progressive culinary/kitchen management experience in quality food production preferred. Hospital/healthcare and catering experience a plus. Food Safety Manager Certification required within 90 days of job entry.
Provides high-quality, well-balanced, cost-effective meals and supervises the daily operations of food production and service throughout the hospital in accordance with The Joint Commission (TJC), HACCP standards, Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA), and local, state, and federal laws. Regularly represents Baptist Health South Florida at a variety of community, marketing and public relations events, in order to promote and share culinary expertise. Estimated salary range for this position is $65,835.36 - 85,585.96 / year depending on experience.Qualifications
