Description
The Invasive Radiological Technologist provides fundamental technical support by assisting the physician with patient preparation, intra and post-interventional/surgical procedures, management of supplies and devices, physiologic patient monitoring and assisting with direct patient care. Responsible for safe and effective operation or radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment as well as specialized imaging and technical equipment used for procedures. Is a patient/family educator, advocate and liaison.
Qualifications
Degrees: Associates Licenses & Certifications: Certified Radiologic Technologist ARRT Registered Technologist - Radiography Basic Life Support Additional Qualifications: Associates of Science. Bachelors of Science preferred. Registered Radiologic Technologist from an accredited school of Radiological Technology and current Florida license. Active American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) credentials and current BLS certification. ACLS within 6 months of hire date if hired in the Cath lab. Proof of eligibility for advanced certification required (VI,CV,CI for IVR and RCIS or RCES for Cath Lab. Must attain advanced certification within (2) years of hire date. Completes a minimum of 12 CEUs annually (10 CEUs must be CV related)
