BankUnited is seeking a motivated, self-starting Senior Analyst to join the Third-Party Risk Management team.
In this highly visible role, the Senior Third Party Risk Governance Analyst is responsible for assisting in maintaining and enhancing the organization's third-party risk management framework to ensure that third party relationships are managed effectively and in compliance with regulatory, legal, and internal policy requirements. This role provides governance, oversight, and strategic direction for third-party risk activities across the enterprise, ensuring consistent risk assessment, monitoring, issue management, and reporting practices.
The Senior TPRM Governance analyst partners closely with business stakeholders, Procurement, Legal, Information Security, Compliance, Model Risk Management, Operational Risk, and Internal Audit teams to drive risk-based decision-making and strengthen the organization's third-party risk posture. The role is responsible for maintaining governance standards, managing risk metrics and reporting, overseeing policy adherence, supporting regulatory examinations and audits, implementing a Quality Assurance function, and promoting continuous improvement of the TPRM program.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintains and governs the enterprise Third Party Risk Management framework, policies, standards, and procedures.
- Provides oversight of TPRM functions including due diligence, onboarding, ongoing monitoring, and termination processes, as well as the implementation of a Quality Assurance function,
- Ensures compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal governance expectations.
- Monitors emerging risks and regulatory developments impacting third-party risk management practices.
- Establishes and maintains key risk indicators (KRIs), metrics, dashboards, and executive reporting for leadership and governance committees.
- Oversees issue management, remediation tracking, and risk acceptance processes related to third-party relationships.
- Documents meeting minutes and prepare materials for governance forums, risk committees, and stakeholder meetings to support risk-based decision making.
- Partners with business units and risk functions to improve risk management processes and drive program maturity.
- Supports internal audits, regulatory examinations, and independent reviews of the TPRM program.
- Leads continuous improvement initiatives, including automation, process optimization, and governance enhancements.
- Develops and oversees Quality Assurance program.
- Adheres to and complies with applicable, federal and state laws, regulations and guidance, including those related to anti-money laundering (i.e. Bank Secrecy Act, US PATRIOT Act, etc.).
- Adheres to Bank policies and procedures and completes required training.
- Identifies and reports suspicious activity.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education
- Bachelors in Business Management or a related field and 5+ years of third-party risk management experience preferred.
Experience
- 5-7 years of work experience in Third Party Risk Management, GRC, or Operational Risk Management, preferably in financial services required
- Previous experience with Supplier Information Management/GRC Systems, preferably Metricstream
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Tableau required
Licenses and Certifications
- CTPRP Preferred

- Ability to identify and assess the severity and potential impact of risks. Communicate risk assessment findings to business line owners outside the TPRM program in a way that consistently drives objective, fact-based decisions about risk that optimize the trade-off between risk mitigation and business performance.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements
- Advanced skills in excel, tableau, and reporting.
- Strong oral/written communication skills. Comfortable presenting the results of review and challenge to business line management and provide independent challenges when different views exist.
