POSITION OVERVIEW


A school registrar plays a crucial role in managing a wide range of responsibilities related to student academic records. This position involves maintaining accurate student records and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. The registrar coordinates class schedules and facilitates communication as directed by their supervisor.


PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • In charge of grade reporting (midterms, report cards, final report card)

    • Maintain templates, create and maintain grading buckets, coordinate posting days with administration

  • Creating, managing, and rostering elective forms, emails, adding requests

  • Handle documentation and communication with parents / other schools/health practitioners regarding student transfers, new students, school inquiries, etc

  • Working with alternate campus counterparts to ensure both campuses match in topics such as grade reporting, timing of report card distribution, etc.

  • Support the Upper School Office in transitioning files upon the end of the school year

  • Manage Course Placement Master List in collaboration with Lower School Principal

    • Manage MAP Testing data, grading data, and current school year data to create a spreadsheet every year

  • Attends SIS monthly meetings or as directed by the Executive Director of Innovation Technology (SIS Team)

    • Tasks as requested under the Executive Director of Innovation Technology (SIS Team)

SECONDARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Backup for Lower School Office (answering phones, helping parents, covering office staff for vacation and/or personal days)

  • Complete tasks as directed by supervisor(s) as needed to enhance the workflow of the school

QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • Once hired, complete mandatory training with the SIS Team

  • 3 years experience working in an office environment or a Bachelor’s Degree

SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Strong communication and Customer Service skills

  • Detail-oriented

  • Proficiency in database management

  • Knowledge of academic policies

  • Data entry expertise

  • Scheduling skills

  • Candidate should be able to handle seasonal workflow as the school year progresses - different tasks during different times of the year


WORKING ENVIRONMENT

  • Office, on-campus year-round

  • Extended periods of sitting and/or standing

  • Ability to bend, reach, and stoop

  • Long periods on the computer and phone

  • Ability to lift to 15 pounds
