This role combines deep construction project control expertise with digital solutions and AI/ML capabilities to deliver intelligent automation, predictive analytics, and decision-support systems that enable automatic reporting at project and program levels, providing visibility on time and cost leading indicators. You will create new programs that improve our efficiency in the high-volume and fast-paced delivery environment while maintaining rigorous project controls across cost, schedule, quality, and safety dimensions. This role requires strong Business Intelligence experiences and skills, AI/ML engineering capabilities, and excellence in communicating with managers, peers and team members, both within their immediate department, as well as with other departments and business partners to drive effective and sustainable dashboard reporting and provide accurate analysis summary to inform leadership on business decisions.
This Construction Program Manager will architect and deploy digital solutions (incl. LLMs and GenAI) to solve critical construction delivery challenges, including automated construction schedule review, AI vision-based drawing compliance monitoring, document quality validation, closeout processes and predictive project analytics. You will bridge the gap between construction operations and emerging automation technologies, translating complex construction workflows into scalable agentic digital solutions that drive 5-20% efficiency gains across our multi-billion dollar APAC portfolio.
As a business transformation leader, you will drive organizational change management initiatives that modernize how Construction Managers execute project controls (time, cost, quality, safety), moving teams from reactive firefighting to proactive, data-driven decision making. You will champion the adoption of AI-enabled project controls frameworks that provide real-time visibility into schedule performance, cost variance, and quality metrics, fundamentally transforming how AWS delivers construction projects.
This is an individual contributor role reporting to the APJC Construction Program Lead. You will work within a diverse and creative team solving fascinating problems constructing AWS Data Centers, supporting Construction Managers delivering data center capacity across the APJC region. You will support the APJC Construction Program Lead and work with SMEs and Construction Managers delivering data center capacity to support Amazon’s growth in the APJC region.
Our Data Center Construction team owns and drives the construction lifecyle from constructability, proposal development, bid analysis, award, to managing the onsite construction work. This position is based in Singapore and involves regular travel (up to 20% of the time) to project sites and other locations in the region.
This Construction Program Manager will be ultimately responsible for ensuring the Construction team adopts consistent and scalable AI-enabled approaches, processes, and digital delivery standards (ISO 19650) in APJC Construction. You will lead the integration of BIM information management, AI-powered project controls, and construction technology platforms including Procore, BIM 360, and custom AI applications. The Construction Program team will provide centralized support and metrics tracking functions to Construction Managers on preconstruction services, AI-enhanced project controls (time, cost, quality and safety), administration tasks, systems, programs, processes, SOPs, templates and intelligent dashboards.
This role will focus on the digital-driven project control strategies and methodologies to create a mapping of when and how each strategy and technology solution should be deployed to upcoming projects.
Key job responsibilities
Digital Solution Framework Development
• Architect and deploy AI-powered construction project control application to provide real-time visibility on project performance, predictive risk indicators, and automated anomaly detection across cost, schedule, quality, and safety metrics
• Build and deploy machine learning models that surface operational insights from unstructured project documentation, enabling data-driven decision support for construction managers and leadership
• Integrate AI capabilities with existing construction technology platforms including Procore, BIM 360, Bluebeam, and document management systems to create seamless automated workflows
Construction Project Control & BIM Management
• Own end-to-end BIM information management for AWS's hyperscale data center program across APJC portfolio
• Manage BIM professionals across consultant and contractor firms, establishing standardized quality frameworks that reduce design coordination clashes through earlier cross-discipline conflict detection and AI-enhanced clash detection workflows
• Lead comprehensive project controls across all construction phases, gathering data across clusters to support reporting on scope, schedule, budget, resources, quality and risk management, with AI-enhanced metric development and tracking, and providing leading indicators for time and cost performance
Documentation & Process Management
• Develop, maintain and update the AI-enhanced documentation management system for Construction including documents for due diligence, design, tender, construction and project closeout
• Work with Construction Managers to ensure consistent implementation of systems, processes, tools and templates, during pre-construction, construction and project closeout
• Assure red-lined updates are reflected in as-built drawings provided to the owner, using AI vision capabilities to validate drawing compliance
Training & Changing Management
• Create and deliver training and onboarding programs on key knowledge, AI tools, construction technology platforms, and BIM methodologies to Construction teams
• Drive adoption of Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies to the digital engineering and construction program functions, significantly reducing tool deployment cycles and improving cross-functional alignment
• Train and assist employees with accessing documents through document management systems and utilizing AI-powered search and retrieval capabilities
