Alan B. Miller Medical Center opening in Spring 2026!
A neighborhood hospital with medical center excellence! The new state-of-the-art hospital will join UHS’ growing regional network of healthcare operations which includes Wellington Regional Medical Center, the ER at Westlake (an extension of Wellington Regional Medical Center), Wellington Physicians Urgent Care and other healthcare services and access points. The Alan B. Miller Medical Center will feature 150 private patient rooms, a medical office building and a helistop. Upon completion of the initial phase of the project, the hospital campus will include 365,000 square feet of hospital and medical office space. The new Medical Center will offer comprehensive medical services including Emergency Care, Orthopedics and Surgical Services, Labor and Delivery, Neonatal Intensive Care, Oncology, Cardiovascular and Neurosurgical services. In addition, the campus will be home to medical office buildings that will provide outpatient services.
Pharmacy Clincal Manager
The Clinical Pharmacy Manager is responsible for the development, supervision, and evaluation of clinical pharmacy services, subject to review and approval by the Director of Pharmacy. Such services are to be in accordance with evidence-based medication use processes and current practice standards. The Clinical Pharmacy Manager will collaborate with other clinical hospital departments to support a multidisciplinary approach to patient care and ensure that all activities of the department are consistent with overall hospital objectives. The Clinical Pharmacy Manager will be responsible for coordination of the Pharmacy and Therapeutics (P&T) Committee and will organize the elements of implementation of all P&T-approved initiatives. The Clinical Pharmacy Manager will oversee Antimicrobial Stewardship, Opioid Stewardship, and Medication Safety initiatives of the department and facility.
The Clinical Pharmacy Manager will oversee the educational programs of pharmacists, residents, and students, and will assist with interdisciplinary education within the facility. The Clinical Pharmacy Manager will collaborate with UHS Corporate Clinical Pharmacy Services. The Clinical Pharmacy Manager will work in conjunction with the Director of Pharmacy to ensure compliance with all state and federal regulatory and accrediting agencies. The Clinical Pharmacy Manager will work with the Director of Pharmacy on planning, implementation, and evaluation of departmental performance improvement activities and medication safety actions. The Clinical Pharmacy Manager may be called upon to perform departmental staffing duties as needed.

Qualifications
Education Requirements:
- Doctor of Pharmacy Degree (Pharm.D.) required.
- PGY-1 Hospital Pharmacy Residency training preferred.
Experience:
- At least five years clinical hospital experience required, including care of pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.
- IV Room Compounding experience required.
- Chemotherapy patient evaluation, monitoring, and preparation experience required.
- Proficiency with automated dispensing cabinet functionality and reporting systems.
- Knowledgeable of and complies with laws, rules and regulations that govern the practice of Pharmacy.
- Leadership experience preferred.
- Regulatory compliance experience, including USP 797/800, preferred.
Skills:
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong interpersonal skills with patients, coworkers, and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to adapt to multiple and changing priorities.
- Ability to maintain department workflow and provide oversight and direction to pharmacists and pharmacy technicians.
- Ability to escalate safety concerns, propose action plans, and follow Chain-of-Command.
License / Certification:
- Current Pharmacist License in the State of Florida is required.
- Florida Consultant Pharmacist license preferred.
- Board Certification preferred.
