Responsibilities

Accountable for the facility Healthcare Technology Management Program which includes leveraging healthcare technology and information systems to ensure patients, visitors, and coworkers an exceptional experience at UHS facilities. The HTM Manager drives all aspects of the HTM program toward excellence. The HTM Manager has primary responsibility to implement and sustain all policies and procedures of the operational strategies for the HTM program for the facility. The HTM Manager uses facility required organizational metrics and key performance indicators (KPI’s), develops local HTM KPI’s, and provides appropriate monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting metrics meeting and/or exceeding expected deliverables for the facility. The HTM Manager provides direction, development and mentoring of the HTM staff at the facility. The HTM Manager is responsible for all HTM fiduciary results and for all HTM required regulatory compliance for the HTM Program for the facility.


Qualifications

Education Requirements:

Minimum Technical School, 2 years of college or Associate’s degree required from an accredited educational institution. Bachelor's degree preferred.

Experience:

  • Extensive experience with healthcare technology management programs.
  • Must possess skill set of advanced modalities in HTM expertise such as clinical laboratory, medical imaging, radiation/oncology, real-time location systems, alarm management middleware or high-end biomedical devices such as device integration/networking, catheterization lab/electrophysiology monitoring systems.
  • Medical equipment knowledge (manufacturers, models, modalities, capital planning, etc.).
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements of medical devices (CMS, TJC, CLIA, AABB, NRC, State, Local).

Skills:

  • Ability to supervise subordinates.
  • Manages projects including device acquisition and installation and/or EOC committee assignments.
  • Advanced/Strong computer skills (proficient with Microsoft products), experience with CMMS products.
  • Strong planning and organization skills. Excellent verbal, written, communication and presentation skills.

License / Certification:

  • Professional Certification Preferred (CBET, CRES, CLES, CHTM, PMP, AWS-CSAA, CISSP, CAN, MLT, CRCST and other professional certifications as deemed pertinent by the hiring director).

Travel Requirements:

  • Travel will be required periodically

A neighborhood hospital with medical center excellence! The new state-of-the-art hospital will join UHS’ growing regional network of healthcare operations which includes Wellington Regional Medical Center, the ER at Westlake (an extension of Wellington Regional Medical Center), Wellington Physicians Urgent Care and other healthcare services and access points. The Alan B. Miller Medical Center will feature 150 private patient rooms, a medical office building and a helistop. Upon completion of the initial phase of the project, the hospital campus will include 365,000 square feet of hospital and medical office space. The new Medical Center will offer comprehensive medical services including Emergency Care, Orthopedics and Surgical Services, Labor and Delivery, Neonatal Intensive Care, Oncology, Cardiovascular and Neurosurgical services. In addition, the campus will be home to medical office buildings that will provide outpatient services.
