Job Description
What you will do
As a Hardware Test Engineering Intern, you’ll support ADT’s product evaluation process by testing and analyzing hardware performance within larger ecosystems. You’ll execute predefined test scripts, capture and analyze waveforms and audible sound samples, and document results that contribute directly to product quality and improvement. This hands-on role offers valuable experience in test engineering while working closely with ADT’s product teams.
- Conduct tests on product hardware to validate functionality and compliance with standards
- Evaluate hardware performance within ecosystem environments to ensure real-world compatibility
- Capture, catalog, and analyze waveforms and audible sound samples
- Document test results and provide insights for product improvement
What You Need to Be Successful
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, with graduation between December 2026–August 2027
- Strong understanding of electronics and hardware components
- Familiarity with basic product test engineering principles

Compensation & Internship Details
- Compensation: $22/hour for undergraduates, $25/hour for those enrolled in a graduate program.
- Work Schedule: A 40-hour workweek is expected, with interns on-site from Monday to Friday in our Boca Raton lab.
- U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency is required, as we do not offer sponsorship.
- Must be available for the entire duration of the internship program, from May 18-July 30, 2026.
- Housing allowance and relocation assistance are not offered for Internship roles.
